DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””] \n\n\n\nThe Oldest City’s Oldest Synagogue\nFirst Congregation Sons of Israel has been worshipping in the same synagogue building for 100 years.  To commemorate the community’s centennial year\, congregant Robert Blau published a book on the origins of the local Jewish community\, and will do a presentation and book signing as part of this year’s St. Augustine History Festival. \n\nDate: Thursday\, May 7 \nTime: 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. \nPlace: The Synagogue’s sanctuary\, 161 Cordova Street. \nBooks will be available for purchase at the discounted price of $10.00 each.  Otherwise the book is available at Barnes and Noble online:  https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-oldest-citys-oldest-synagogue-robert-blau/1143885992  Proceeds from the sale go to the synagogue. \nBob Blau will be on hand for an author’s talk and book signing at the First Congregation Sons of Israel on May 7\, at 11:00 a.m.\nPlease join us for this wonderful time of celebrating our synagogue and its history.\nWe would like to express our heartfelt thanks to congregation members Rene and Heather Naughton\, Suzanne and Dan Lichter\, Bob Blau\, and Rachel and Neal Hecker for their invaluable assistance during the St. Augustine History Festival.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
