The Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine is located at 38 Cathedral Place between Charlotte and St. George Streets. The structure itself took over five years (1793–1797) to complete and was designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark on April 15, 1970. The congregation of The Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine was established in 1565, making the oldest Christian congregation in the contiguous United States. Prior to COVID-19, tourists flocked to the Cathedral, making it one of the most revered sites in St. Augustine.
We are most fortunate in that during the 2023 History Festival, the Diocese of St. Augustine has agreed to once again provide tours of the Cathedral.
Tour times are: To Be Determined
